I've got an eyeful of trouble
I've written before about how I'll be upstairs, think of something I need that's in the kitchen, head down to get it and, once I'm there, I'll get myself a glass of water (not the thing I went downstairs to get), then go back upstairs, at which point I will realize the mission I set out on was not accomplished. And of course, there's the nearly daily occurrence of going to the fridge to get something but, once you've got the door open, you can't for the life of you remember what it is you need. My theory is the blast of cold air creates amnesia. A recent event has me worried that things are getting worse. I was in Charlottesville, Va., for a few days recently, attending a book festival, and because I am not a fan of waiting around in airports, decided to drive down and back.

The survey showed:-- more than half engaged in moderate to vigorous activity thrice weekly,-- more than three-quarters did not smoke,-- more than a third had a Body Mass Index, a weight-to-height measure that correlates to body fat, of under 25 -- below the level considered overweight or obese.Only 42 percent practiced two of these behaviors, and 6.5 percent practiced none at all.
